Spencer Kellogg (left panel) donated the Santa Barbara property to the Vedanta Society in 1943. Santa Barbara architect Lutah Maria Riggs (right panel), one of the first female architects in California and leader of the historic preservation movement, designed our Santa Barbara temple in 1956.
